I’m so sick

Recommended Posts

I had a sleeve 5 days ago. (After midnight now). I’m weak. I’m sick. I’m so used to being a busy body and doing everything but now I’m dizzy all the time and just wanna sleep.
I kinda regret having this surgery.

I have lost weight and quickly too. I am grateful for that. I just wish I could eat.

I didn’t have a strict diet like you guys though. 2 weeks on liquids? ?? I wouldn’t make it lol
My diet was liquid 1 day preop. Then 1 week post op. I can have soft foods in 2 days. I’m hoping that’ll make the difference in energy levels and nausea.

you just had major surgery. A rough week or two isn't uncommon. Just make sure you're staying hydrated, and try to get in as much Protein as you can. You should start feeling better and better every day... "Buyer's remorse" is common during the first few weeks after surgery, but most of us end up being very glad we had the surgery.

Yeah, I can generally only get in 2 Protein Shakes. The texture makes me gag but I suck it up. Reminds me of having someone else’s saliva in my mouth or something 😬

I can’t wait to be in the glad I did it stage

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
