Hello everyone, I have found a lot of information and helpful support here. Surgery is tomorrow. June 29th, 2020. I was ordered to do Covid 19 test to clear me for surgery. I was really nervous about the test as I heard and read so many stories saying it hurt. It did not hurt, it was quick, they swabbed both nostrils it was a weird feeling, a bit awkward like a fruit fly going up ur nose, n my eyes watered. I had to do 6 months of nutritionist visits, and since I'm near my goal weight for surgery I was told to do 3 days liquid pre op diet. Reading about how others have done for 1 and 2 weeks on liquid diet has given me strength to do my 3 days. I'm excited and nervous of what's to come. I plan on taking pics tonight for my own before and after as well as keep an eye on my diabetes type 2 and high cholesterol and improvements.

Sending good vibes!
Hospital check list: chapstick, toiletries, own pillow, slippers or slide on sandals, phone charger, wear same comfy clothes home that you wore to the hospital.

Good luck! Focus on being comfy the next few weeks, both in and out of the hospital. When my mom had her sleeve done, she basically lived in lose sundresses for about a month.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
