No harm in trying it out. Are you pre op or post op?
Thanks! Yeah I've been overweight mostly my whole life but fit overweight. I ran 5 marathons above 200lbs. I've competed in numerous crossfit events I've just always had issues with portion size.

My surgery is June 17

I was thinking more on the line of gym trainer.

I am also looking for one so if anyone has suggestions on which one is best, I would love to know.

I wanted to reply to @SummerHot. I'm not saying that waist training doesn't work, but one of the before and after results is from a person I follow on instagram (mygirlishwhims) who has never done waist training. I recognize the pink outfit. So be careful referencing these websites. They will often take photos from other peoples profiles without tagging them or giving them credit because they're trying to sell a product.

I wanted to buy some Skims (Kim Kardashian line -- not a fan of hers but still wanted to try her line) -- I saw a review which said they're really comfortable.. I Just don't know if they're heavy duty enough to work.

I definitely do NOT want one that has the super uncomfortable boning I've read about -- where it is hard to breathe.

But Skims are supposedly a more breathable lightweight fabric, so will it actually work? I am very curious. If she has a good Black Friday sale -- I might bite.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
