I was CLOSE to 400. My highest weight was 389. I'm only 4 months post op though... I lost 64 pounds before surgery (insurance required six months of monitoring and then it took two months to schedule my surgery due to them being overscheduled so... 8 months) and I've lost 65 since surgery and am 256 as of two days ago (I only weigh once a week). Sorry I couldn't be more helpful 😢

I know you're asking for 400 but I just want to say my highest weight was 322 I'm now stable around 165-168 and below goal weight. so it is possible :)

close - I went from 373 and bottomed out at 138. At three years out, I had the infamous bounce back (many of us gain 10-20 lbs after hitting bottom) and have stabilized since then in the 150s.

My heaviest weight was 445 lb. When I started dieting in July 2019 prior to surgery I was 427 lbs. My surgen wanted my BMI to be at 50 before surgery. My surgery weight was 335 lbs. Almost at my one year surgivesary and I am around 200 lbs.

Hi everyone I was wondering who started at 400 and ended up at like 160-140 thanks so much and I'd love to see before and after pics please thanks a lot Heather

I'm wondering the same. I'm at 420 lbs and one week re-op. Next Friday at this time I'll (hopefully) be recovering from a successful SADI-s procedure.

I have to admit, that in all of the groups I've joined, hardly anyone has started off as large as I am. Finding success stories for people my size has been discouraging....most people started off much lighter than me. It would be so encouraging to hear more stories of people who started off with their surgery weight in the 400's.

Personally, I don't expect to get as low as 140-160 lbs. I'll be happy with 200 lbs, honestly!

Anyhooo...just want to ask what the OP asked...some stories from super fats who have taken this journey.

I told the surgeon during my initial visit that I would have been ecstatic to get to 200 lbs - and I would have been! (I got much lower - 138 at my lowest, but I've settled in the 150s (I'm almost six years out). Never in my dreams would I have imagined that - even 200 lbs seemed like a pipe dream when I first started my journey!

I am hoping to get to the 170s as my stable weight. I started at 426 and was able to lose about 50 with the high Protein diet over 5 months. I hope your surgery went well.

I had SADI-S a year ago. My highest weight was 389 while my surgery weight was 321. I'm 201 right now. I hope your surgery went well and you're recovering well! Wishing you the best in your journey!

Hi everyone!

My surgery went well, but post-surgical care the first day was rough. The nursing staff didn't do anything I was told they would do, and I think that contributed to way more pain and discomfort than I should have had. Once I advocated for myself, things improved.

As of now, I just feel super wiped out and weak...I'm trying to focus on hydration, getting up and walking around the house, and doing my breathing exercises.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
