Gaining weight 1 month post op!

Recommended Posts

I had the sleeve on 3/3, my weight was 285! Last week I weighed in at 259 lbs. Today I am 264.6 lbs. I dont really understand what's happening. I switched from pureed to chopped foods, could that be the culprit? I exercise daily. I really dont understand what I'm doing wrong! Please help!!!!

Your body reacts to rapid weight loss by filling all those empty fat cells with Water. It is water weight. Keep on your plan, stay off the scale for a week or 10 days, keep drinking water. Been there, and it does go away.

Exercising will also build muscles, which weigh more than fat. Small fluctuations, especially when you first start working out are completely normal. Keep on the right path and keep doing the right things, and the weight will start to come off again!

What are you eating? Are you weighing, measuring, logging everything?

track what you are eating and make sure you are doing your Protein first. At 17 months out unless i intentionally eat a carb and only a carb, i still dont make it past the protein..

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
