* 6 MONTH UPDATE * RNY BYPASS

Recommended Posts

Hey guys hope all is well.

Now I've just hit the 6 months mark since I started my weight loss journey.

It's been an amazing ride that's for sure.

I started my highest weight of 322lbs.

Today I'm 178lbs; that's a 154lbs GONE in 6 months!

Surgery weight was 257lbs so I'm 4 months post surgery as well; 79lbs since surgery day :)

I never thought I would even get to this weight and now I feel great.

bought some new clothes and noticed some girls actually taking notice of me these days it's a great feeling!!

I have been eating more and trying out different foods lately and I can tolerate more these days; actually went out for lunch the other day for the first time since surgery 😀

BMI is now 24 so I'm officially healthy!!!

I'm not quite as strict as I was the first months so I am enjoying trying out new foods to see what I can tolerate as I need to start thinking long term and maintenance!

Thank you to everyone on this site for your support and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have if you're thinking about the RNY bypass surgery.

Take care.

MIKEY

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
