I had my sleeve done December 31,2019. I am still having a lot of pain. How long and when should the pain start to subside?

Congrats on your surgery! I also had my reversal from band to sleeve on 12/31/2019. My doctor gave me liquid hydrocodone with Tylenol. I stayed two nights in the hospital and was released to go home today. I have only taken my meds twice today. My pain only hurts when I get up and feel a little heaviness In my midsection and it definitely hurts where my port used to be. I’m using my binder and it is helping keep the inflammation down. My nurses said within a few days the pain will subside and I know I’m looking forward to that. Best of luck on your journey!

So Being post op almost 6 years they pump you full of air so that pain will be there for a few days, walking will help with it. When you have a reversal or a revision it hurts a bit more I felt bad for a week, my wife went through the same procedure and had a ton of pain in the first 48. If you are home and cannot control call the doctor and ask, what the issue can be, I had a kink in the sleeve and it hurt big time. It may hurt now but it is so worth it. 6 years post op I am still loosing and take your Vitamins when you are able too, Anemia is a horrible side effect.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
