I had a lot of nice clothes so some went to my BFF who is that size and I sold some on eBay. When I'm stable for a few years I'll probably donate the rest. There's so much!

That's funny! Thankfully, my neighborhood is lacking in porch pirates.

But, I've been selling my clothes on mercari, I've made about $300 so far!

lol that’s funny.

I find trying to sell clothes too hard. I have given some away to friends, donated some to op shops and swapped some at clothes swaps. Some I may alter or repurpose if I ever get around to it

lol.

I've donated all of mine to the domestic violence women's shelter. I have a few more bags and I am donating them to women in substance abuse recovery.

Oh, that's hilarious! Seriously, though, I donated mine to St. Vincent de Paul. That's where I bought all of my transition clothes too.

Donated mine to local non profit thrift store. All proceeds go to local men’s and women’s recovery centers as well as to the homeless in my community.

I had tons and tons to donate and still have a closet full! Sadly now I have very little that fits me. I plan to wait as long as I am able to before buying more.

I donated mine to the Salvation Army, was glad to get rid of them... Big clothes take up a lot of space....

Just took six boxes of clothes to a neighbor who has a son who can use them. I'm 30 days prior to surgery and I've lost 16 pounds and one, almost two, pants sizes.

Good will for sure. Gave some to my moms friend. My poor closet looks bare. Husbands clothes are all packed together. I have a few garments hanging up. Looks like I left my husband in a hurry and only left the clothes I didnt want. Lol.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
