I had a VSG on 9/18/19 , I have lost 30lbs from my preop weight of 294, but my weight loss has slowed dramatically, what can I do ? I am getting a little depressed about it because I’m 55 yrs old and everything just seems so hard!

You're so early to be depressed💗. It is going to come off, I promise you! You are doing great! Don't compare yourself to others. I have lost less than some and more than some and that is OK!

We all lose at our own pace! The first full month the weight generally flies off...you have to remember, you are releasing all of the fluids from surgery, you are on a liquid and soft diet for the majority of it...there are so many reasons WHY the weight loss slows down.

I like to remind myself when I am feeling disappointed in my losses that I would not have even come THIS close if I were trying to lose weight on my own. I think back to all of my prior attempts through Atkins, Weight Watchers, exercise...and realize that this tool is a miracle and I need to give it time.

If you stick to the rules that your program has set forth the weight WILL come off.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
