I bought a size 12 dress during the after-christmas sales a few months ago when I was still a size 16/18. Well a few days ago when I realized I could fit into size 12 jeans, I decided to try on the dress-- it fit! I would only wear it out with a sweater over it like the white one in the last picture, but here are the before and afters! I remember it was so hard to get that dress up over my butt in the first picture, and I could get the zipper up only a few inches. Now it goes all the way up!

I was feeling a little down today. I've been stuck at the same weight for several weeks now and still feel huge. I then came across this picture from the same time last year.I hadn't seen it before. What a difference a year makes! Just the kick in the butt I needed to show me how much progress I've made and will keep making.

I am going to try and post some pics of the last 15 months. I have not had good luck before, so we will see. I have hit my first goal of 150 and according to the BMI I should be at 125 to be "normal" weight. I am going to take it real slow and if I lose it.. I lose it. If not, I am extreamly happy with where I am right now.

begining--- 7 month--- 11 month --1 year--- 15 mon.

Everyone looks so great! Congrats to you all!

Today is my one year bandiversary! :crying: It's been a great year and I look forward to many more! Last year this site, particulary this thread, was so inspirational to me. Now, I get to do the same! For those of you who are to be banded soon or for the newly banded, you will get here too!

My before was at 246. Those jeans were 24W and were getting a little snug. My jeans then and now (sizes 24W, 16, 14P, and 11/12P).

I'm 66 pounds down and still have at least 30 more to loose. I'll get there eventually. It's coming off very slowly now and actually I haven't lost much at all in the last couple of months. I'm trying new things to break my plateau. Love my band!!! :rolleyes2:

I found this picture of me at my daughter's graduation and couldn't believe how big I was. I don't have many pictures because I wouldn't let anyone take my picture when I was fat. I LOVE MY BAND.

Not sure how many of you can or will see a difference, but I was going through some old things today and came across a pre-surgical picture of myself (I had surgery March 22, 2007). It is the first picture and I held it up for my webcam:

And the next pictures are a couple of cam shots I took today:

My "special friend" loves me with my natural dark hair, by the way! LOL. Hard to believe it's coming up on 25 months since my surgery.

I love this thread. I love seeing tangible proof that the lapband has changed the lives of so many people!

As I am finally at goal, I guess this will be my last post in here. I was officially weighed at my Dr's today and was dead on 65kgs (143lbs). I started at over 98kgs (215lbs), which was what I was when the first set of photos were taken. I don't know what I was at my heaviest because I didn't dare weigh myself.

My lapband Dr is happy with my current weight and had said that I should be able to eat 'normally' (eg some 'norti foods' like chocolate and ice cream sometimes) and I can exercise 'for fun' but not with the goal of losing anymore. Personally I've really enjoyed working out and getting fitter over the last 8 months or so, and don't really want to give it up. In that respect, I suppose I may lose a bit more but it's not something I'm purposefully trying to do anymore.

However, should I never lose another lb, I think I'd be happy too!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
