Oh the abdomen pain is real

Recommended Posts

I am 4 days post and my tummy hurts! The larger of my incisions is on the upper right side of my abdomen and is so swollen it's like a knot. Add in the never-ending bloating and gas pain...geesh. To add insult to injury my Dr. Decided to change my BP MEDS to one with no diuretic at discharge. I think that's the reason for the horrible bloat. Because of bloat & gas I seem to be gaining. This is depressing

Dont get discouraged yet ! At 1 month post op you *may* forget the pain ever existed and see some notable changes

🤞🏾 I hope it all fades away like a bad dream.

I’m hurting too!!! They gave me children’s tylenol to take, Cherry flavored. It’s absolutely disgusting and I can’t even choke it down. So a few days post op I refused to take it anymore. Well now I’m on day 6 and I’m forcing myself to gag it down because I know I need it for the inflammation inside my stomach. Everything hurts. I cried myself to sleep last night because of my pain. I don’t want to lose my strength. But if I try to do too much then I’m screwed. I hope your pain is better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
