Hello...I'm so thankful that there are resources out there for us. I look forward to getting advice from you all. I'm doing pretty great so far. That "lump in my throat" feeling I had when I swallowed from the air they pump into you is pretty much gone...thank goodness. That was the most uncomfortable thing but smaller sips pretty much took care of it. I'm excited about this journey.

How are you feeling at this point? I might be sleeved in a month and I'm starting to get scared. How is the recovery process going for you?

I just got sleeved 8/2/19
I walked in on Friday morning and was sleeved by noon... The pain was crazy the first night.. it was a combination of gas pain and my stomach feeling twisted... Saturday was a breeze just gas pain and now it's the 5th and we have gone shopping at costco for our regular routine stuff.. the pain is gone but gas come from time to time...
It's crazy that I haven't felt hungry since then..

I feel pretty good. My pain was honestly not that bad. I think the key was to do the walking. They make you get up and walk around the hospital really soon and I think forcing my self to do it helped a lot. At this point the pain is all but gone. It comes mostly from the air they pump into your chest and the walking works that out. Hope this helps

I had my surgery on Tuesday and was home by Friday am. Immediately after surgery I had zero pain or discomfort, but I was extremely dizzy. So I waited about 7 hours before venturing our of my bed after sitting up for about 5 minutes. By morning I was walking around like nothing. The main thing I'm dealing with is the Water retention. My hand from where the IV was is still "swollen". I came back home and weighed myself after drinking only about 30 oz of water in 4 days to find I gained 5 pounds!!! Shocked isn't quite strong enough to describe how I felt. I'm assured that its all water weight and it will go away quickly. My incisions are nearly healed with mild bruising around. I walk everywhere, not without effort, and I sip water and clear Protein Drinks all day - 1 sip about every 5 mins or so. Absolutely no vomiting at all, which I am pleasantly surprised by. Guess I'll wait for this water to go away?? Oh, and a weird thing is I started my cycle 3 days after surgery. I still had 12 more days to go when it spontaneously started. I thought that was weird.

Strange how pain is different for people..I had open heart surgery in January and the 1st 16 hours post sleeve was worse than recovery from open heart..I was up and walking 6 hours after surgery but the gas pain....dang!

I was sleeved July 30. Came home the next day and never took pain meds at all. Now I did have an awful taste for 3 days that made everything taste bad. I think this is caused by your body being in Ketosis. I still have a problem with sleep. I am not hungry at all and Outshine pop cycles are the best!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
