The surgeons nurse called today and gave me my results. I have a stomach infection and it will be treated with antibiotics. It has to clear up or I can't have surgery. Anyone have this issue with their stomach? In process have mental evaluation and nutrition class. Hopefully not classes. But now this is slowing me down. At least be healthy and they can go forth with my surgery. I was reading from taking arthrites meds and could be caused by radiation. They found a spot on my breast so every 6mths I was being exposed to radiation. Also since I was 38 I have been taking Arthrites meds and I am now 54. So hopefully the antibiotics will clear it all up.

Keeping you in my prayers🙏that it smooths out, you get good enough to have your surgery, and that you won't have to wait much longer. Was it h pylori or something else? Some, people on here said it took a while for h pylori to heal and it is very common in the General Population these days. I haven't had it, a miracle with everything else that I have had.

I don't know I will have to ask them. I think it is just gastritis and they don't want it to make an ulcer. She just called and said it was a stomach infection. Thanks for prayers Frustr8!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
