The last time I seen him I was 147 and he said I was perfect at that weight I haven’t seen him since and I moved out of state a few weeks ago and lost 12 lbs in a week which is why I’m trying to gain a little back

Is it possible you have body dysmorphia? Hair loss is normal with this. And at 5'3" and 127lbs you are only in the range of normal--not close to critical loss. Chances are your body will reach an equalibrium. And then you will struggle NOT to gain. I would not honestly add a weight gainer if it was me.

What do you eat each day? Do you weigh measure and log your foods? How much are you able to eat at a meal? Do you eat 3 meals per day or what is your meal frequency? Do you have any food aversions/issues?

I think you look pretty normal to me? But my opinion is irrelevent. Sorry you are skeered!

5’3” 127 pounds. Your BMI is 22.5 Normal weight. For someone your height underweight is 104 pounds. BMI 18.4

You may want to research bariatric centers in your area or find a dietician that can help you out.

If you don’t feel healthy at this weight, increase your calories and carbs to gain weight. If your restriction is still tight, Find less dense foods…Example Peanut Butter, sweet potatoes etc.

Hi there, are you taking your Vitamins? Reason that I asked is you stated that your skin looks bad. If you are not start back but I agree with the others for your height that seems to be a healthy normal weight. And yes find another bariatric center in your area to get the help that you need.

I wish you the best.

I want to thank you because you’re actually making me think about my decision And maybe that’s what’s wrong with me I was honestly fine with the way I looked until I lost 12 pounds in a week

Define "little bit at a time"? And how frequently.

IMHO, you are in a slippery slope situation. Cuz you're naturally afraid weight loss won't stop. But it does. And you aren't developing the habits that are gonna sustain you over time, once your tool relaxes more with age and once your hunger kicks back up.

Grazing is just a recipe for disaster...even if you have to drink some of your Protein to get it in. Organized meals are very different than grazing behavior both physically and mentally.

And "a little bit of everything" is hard. Cuz you need to know how much protein you're getting each day--do you need to up it? How much fat are you getting each day? Do you need to up it? For many of us, eating isn't intuitive. We have to have a plan to know how to control an outcome...

Wha? Why would you EVER quit? No wonder you feel like you're dying. I'd go to the doctor and get my blood drawn for Vitamin test...

My guess is the move has your nerves frazzled and you need to get back on your Vitamin regimen. I wouldn't try to gain if I were you. Hang in there.

Well 12lbs in a week would scare me too! ((hugs)). I really think it's time to get a visit with the V-E-T. :(

I never really did the Vitamin thing because it was hard for me to keep down and when I was able to keep them down I wasn’t able to eat Just like the Protein Drinks I could never stomach them

You have GOT to tell your doctor this. Vitamins are non-negotiable. You can do serious long term damage from not taking your vitamins! :(

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
