i’m really glad you asked this ... still unsure which surgery to have but i’m allergic to most pain meds so worried about not having nsaids as an option (one of the things i’m not allergic to)

I too get super bad cramps and have chronic pain i took gabapetin to turn down my sensitivity. As for cramps i decided 2 days a month was worth 28 days of being pain free and having more energy. I havent taken anything for pain in 7 months and no more gabapetin 4 wks post op now.

Tracydawn how’s the chronic pain been since surgery? has that lessened

I haven't had any since 2 weeks post op..not even a Migraine. I had my period early wich is common with abdominal surgery and the cramps were very mild. Now it is late but usually i get cramps before it starts...hoping those are gone..

My surgeon just told me this week I could take Celebrex for my arthritis as long as I take omeprazole. I am one year out from RNY.

I had a sudden flare up of migrating joint pain just out of the blue and was told I could take Celebrex as well and because its gentle on the stomach not even PPI needed?

I am 1 yr post op RNY. It’s frustrating there are so many conflicting answers.....

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
