You are right to feel concern!

Are you following your surgeon's and rd's plan? Are you weighing measuring logging all your food? Hard to comment. To me it feels alarming. Since you're about 3 weeks out from surgery. That feels like a lot of food.

But sometimes you're restriction signal takes a while to work itself out with your brain. I've heard of people taking 2-3 months to start feeling their restriction.

Because of this you simply should never "chase that full feeling." Just because you can doesn't mean you should. So when your doc tells you 1/4c of food at 3 weeks post op. He means business. You can seriously eff yourself up that way! So eat ONLY the volume they tell you and of the foods that only they list.

*Edit: Oh and don't forget, to take tiny bites with tiny silverware and chew chew chew. Take 20-30minutes to eat if you can--especially in the early days. And no drinking with meals or after meals! I tried to keep it 15min before and 30min-1hour after.

Focus on your Protein first. At this point, that should be about all you're eating. Call your doc's office and schedule with the rd.

I find this a bit worrying for you. I am 13 months out, 80 lbs down, and no way could I eat more than 1 egg in a meal, let alone 2 plus sausage. I find Protein SO filling! Are you getting enough Fluid? Thirst can be mistaken as hunger. A good Protein Shake with all the Vitamins would be a better option rather more food.

your nerves were cut during surgery. It might be awhile before you start feeling "full" again. I agree with the other posters - weigh and measure your food and only eat what you're supposed to eat. You don't want to mess anything up.

Hmm this is a lot for three weeks post op. I’m about seven months and can only eat one egg. You need to raise this with your doctor.

I find that although I can only eat a small meal, i can get hungry an hour later. But hunger is normal and I know I don’t have to eat just because I feel hungry. I drink Water, or eat a cracker or two (less than 50 cal), or just be hungry. Some people lose all hunger but some, like me, still need to work with it.

Please keep us posted on what your doctor makes of this. Are you seeing a nutritionist regularly? If he is not concerned you should have a second opinion consult.

Hello I'm three weeks out from being sleeved just like you and yes there are times I feel like my sleeve isn't working, but more so because I don't see fast weight lost results.. my food intake on the other hand is not the same Im actually on full liquids going into puree foods. Which will start Monday. I agree with the other posters please consult your doctor and your dietician. I don't fill full all the time either but I think I'm to afraid to eat more and go off the schedule. Try getting back on your schedule my dietician gave me a guide book for each phase and although sometimes I think I'm ready for the next phase I don't budge because I want to do things right remember you are doing this for you and no one else so stay encourage stick your plan and you got it !! You may want to ask for a drink test too to make sure everything is going where it's supposed to as well.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
