Had RNY August of 2007. Maintained well until 2013. Slow and steadily gaining all of my weight back. I am so frustrated! Day of surgery weight 260, lowest weight 144, back to 210. Help
So sorry to hear that ..just try going back on a 1200 calorie diet

So sorry to hear this. Have you tried going back to the type of eating that made you successful in the first place? I know that's easier said than done, but it's a place to start. Maybe even start with a 1500/cal/day diet or a two week liquid diet to get you started back toward weight-loss. You don't want it to keep creeping up. Take care.

@scarlett63

I'm sure you are frustrated. Reality , Any one of us can gain.

Have you contacted your surgeons office/dieticain? They may have some good advice on getting back on track and ruling out medical issues. Counseloing/therapy is an option to fight the mental side of weight loss.

You already know your baraitric plan. Time to put it into acction before 210 becomes 240, 260 or 300

  • Get rid of temptation food and go shoping for healthy whole foods. Get healthy options for sweet and salty cravings.
  • Being off plan your body is used to the extra calories carbs and sugars. You will feel crappy as you detox off them and get your body back in to weight loss mode. Embrace the suck! it will get better once you are consistant and back in your weight loss zone
  • Log and weigh your food,
  • hydrate and exercise.

We also have a group weight loss challenge. Its a good way to support each other as we lose weight

I was wondering if anyone out there is experiencing the same thing.

Your not the first person that has experienced a gain.

A while back I did but they were saying the same thing. “Just go back to eating like you did when you were losing “. Right🙄

Going back to basics, Keto and weight watchers did not work for you. It may be time to seek counseling.

This is just an observation talking with people over the years. Many of us have eatting disorders pre surgery. It's not suprising to find some have them post surgery.

Maybe start seeing the nutritionist again so that she can give you some tips to help you get back on track, I know it's hard but you gotta start somewhere and take it one day at a time. You can do it, you did it before, it's just getting motivated again so get the help that you need to get you back on track.

Keep in touch with this site, you will find lots of motivation and tips as well...you may just read that one thing that makes a bell go off in your head like YES I can do this.

I wish you the best ((Hugs))

Feel the pain! Had my sleeve in 2016. Went down to 125lb and now I’m 145lb. I don’t want to keep gaining but I feel so lost and it is hard to “reset” ☹️

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
