This probably falls into the TMI category, but what the heck. I had my first "never trust a fart" incident today while walking home from work. There was nothing I could do but soldier on and deal with the situation when I got home. I'd heard of this phenomenon and didn't really know how it could happen--until it did.

On another topic, I know that we are all coming up on our one-year anniversaries. It would be really nice if everyone could check in on their anniversary dates and let us know how they are doing, perhaps with a recent photo. Just a thought! I'm the last of the February group (because my surgery was actually on March 2), but I promise to do so when my date comes!

Lol, while I haven’t had that yet since surgery, there have been some close calls.
My surgiversary will be in 3 days, so I’ll try to remember to post Thursday with a before and a current.

My surgiversary is tomorrow. Knowing me I'll forget to hop on lol. It's been a great year, but I'm definitely at a standstill. I am not sure what the next move is... I guess really really paying attention to my food and maybe now introducing some exercise. I'm leaning more towards being vegan from being vegetarian... I'm going to see how that goes dietwise. I feel that maybe going vegan will actually help me with my Protein intake as it has to be more balanced in diet.

Onwards and upwards!

edit: It says my surgery date was 5th on the sidebar, but I'm pretty sure it was 4th. I need to double check now haha.

edit again: nope - it WAS 5th Feb. ok, well I'm 2 days early.

Hi all, so my original surgery date was 1/31/20 but had to be pushed due to having kidney stones and two procedures back to back in order to take care of them. My new date is next Wednesday, 2/12/20 in the morning! Can’t believe it’s almost here, finally after all this time!! I’m down 20lbs, currently at 252lbs. Surgery will be at GBMC with Dr. Bello. Im having the sleeve done. I’m getting nervous but excited at the same time. I’m ready for the next phase of this journey to start.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
