Keeping Warm: I have had to learn a lot of things moving to Ireland. Good insulation and double-glazed windows help; thermal underwear; big puffy coats and don't forget your scarves and gloves; but mostly, spend time over at the in-laws who have a huge fireplace!

Fantastic timing for keeping warm in the winter. Had a great day at the Mccall winter festival. Forgive me for all the photos👼

Day 25 - keeping warm in winter! I use a double layer coat that can be worn 3 ways so it's super warm! Then since I'm always cold all the time these days, it's fleece tops, sweat pants, and an extra thick long fleece blanket. It does the job loldownload.jpeg

#25 ---lots and lots of hot coffee. Of course keeping cool in the summer entails lots and lots of iced coffee---may have a problem. 😬

#26 will need to wait. Not going out to eat until Monday.

Yeah, I don't do hats either--NYer thing perhaps? 😉

Maybe it’s a SoCal thing, but I take any opportunity I have to wear a hat. Went hiking when it was in the 40’s required a cashmere beanie 😂. There was ice on the ground people! I didn’t want to freeze to death! 😮😮

Well it isn't quite the First of February but I have lost 3 and 1/2 pounds this month , even with being on TPN, which slows down loss pretty much. But my loss means enough to me as 25 pounds does to another person, so I am boasting.😝

Eating out-

There's almost always some form of grilled meat and I substitute veggies for the sides. Take home the leftovers. If I'm not headed home, I need to practice leaving the food behind. I'm still tempted to keep eating so that I won't "waste" it. Like me hauling around an extra 100 pounds somehow helped starving children in 3rd world countries.

How I eat out: I've always had to wrestle with restaurant menus, coz I can't have anything with alcohol or non-halal meat so that usually means fish or veggie (unless they put wine in the sauce, the meanies).

So, that my cuts the menu down to a couple of good options and from that I try and pick something that isn't too fatty, creamy or sugary. Often I'll do an appetiser and a salad or Soup.< br>
I ask that the side of chips is taken off, and refuse the bread rolls in the beginning.

I don't really eat out that often, mostly coz there aren't a lot of good local restaurants where I live and I love cooking so we prefer home meals anyhow.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
