My DS surgery is scheduled for Wednesday and today I cheated on my pre-op diet! I had some chicken wings and pizza for dinner I know I need to look into getting help with not giving in to the food but does anyone think I messed up my surgery? I am supposed to be drinking two shakes a day and one lean meat meal with veggies.

You can get back on plan - This is a lifelong process of making food choices. It starts today!

You realized your mistake. You're not trying to rationalize it as a good choice. You move on and you take it one day at a time. You build on your successes and learrn from your mistakes. You'll do fine.

Not doing what's popular just doing what's Right.

It’s super important to the success of your surgery that you do not stray from your pre-op diet again. You have to fully commit to it. You can do it!!!

Not saying it's okay, but I cheated several times on my pre-op diet (Burger King... Taco Bell... pizza....) and I'm doing fantastically these past two months sticking to my new lifestyle. I don't miss anything or want any of that junk. You didn't ruin anything. What matters truly is if you can mentally handle the changes post-op.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
