Oh tightness a bit in my chest and in my back 😩

I did the same thing the other morning I had a boiled egg and all of sudden I started sweating and a lot of saliva in my mouth. I started gagging over and over again nothing really came up but I felt so bad for most of the day. I had to take a pill for nausea. I said that I am so done with eggs I have tried scrabbled and boiled.

I was going to try eggs tomorrow. Now I am scared. 😐

I have been lucky so far that things are going so well I don’t want to throw up!

Omg I just threw up my first time I only had mashed up tuna and mashed up boiled egg like 3oz and threw it all up. My first sensation was uncomfortableness, excessive salvia and the overwhelming need to throw up. Sorry tmi I just never experienced it until now yuck 🤢

Oh my, I hope you feel better. I am 15 days post op- RNY. I get the the tightness in my chest and back too. I found if I take even smaller portions of and already small portion it helps with preventing this. Almost half of a bite. I know it sounds crazy but it works very very very tiny bites. Hope this helps you!

Tell me about it, I don’t think I wanna try eggs again for awhile. Maybe an isolated event but yuck 🤢

When I try eggs I mush them and make sure to not scramble to hard. Small small pieces, if not i feel pain but have never had the throwing up experience or nausea.

I'm 17 days post-op and I just recently tried fish. I'm thinking everything okay but I felt a little sick ten minutes later. I'm really not sure what fullness feels like now??

I’m 16 days post op. I had fish today for lunch and threw up afterwards for the first time since the day of surgery. I dunno if the fish didn’t set well on my tummy or if I had one bite too many... but I think I’m gonna avoid fish for a while. Had chicken Soup for dinner and did fine. I also am kind of struggling to determine my new “full feeling.” My tummy still generally feels uncomfortable most of the time, so it’s difficult for me to distinguish a difference at this point.

Do you measure or weigh your food?

I can tell if I am getting full ... I sort of feel a tightness or just the need to take a deep breath. Then I know I need to stop. I’m only 11 days post op now so who knows if it will change

Fullness feels the same to me as it did before surgery, it just happens a lot faster. If I eat too fast and am getting full I burp a lot.

I feel uncomfortable and like I can’t breathe tightness. Idk if the egg didn’t sit well or I ate a bit to many. But I eat out of a 3oz container and still leave food. That day I wanted to finish so it could of been either one or both. I’ll stay away from egg for a while and then re try.

eggs sit like a ton of bricks on my stomach. It hurts even to swallow one or two bites. I tried mixing them with cottage cheese which makes them softer but that didn't help. I have decided to give them up for now.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
