You need more salt. I felt that way the first day and called my doc. Thought I was getting dehydrated. Told me I wasn’t getting enough salt. Recommended a coffee mug with hot Water with 3 bullion cubes in it dissolved. Said we need 3-4 grams of sodium each day otherwise body doesn’t hold on to Water, messes with potassium etc. the next day first thing I did was drink a coffee mug full of 3 bullion cubes with a spoon and honesty have felt great everyday since. Lots of energy and no problems anymore :-)
Thanks. I’ll keep that in mind. Boullion cubes are rough but I’ll certainly give it a try. How long before you think we’ll start seeing the weight come off?

Ha yes it is a small world ! I have heard so many good things about Dr. Noria too ! You are 4 months out from your RnY ? Did it go as you expected it to? Were you in a private room at OSU ?

That’s awesome. I had surgery Thursday and came home yesterday. Haven’t gotten on the scale yet. I’m nervous.

I got sleeved on Tuesday and am down 9 pounds. I can tell that I'm a little swollen, though...I keep telling myself to put the scale away for a week or so until the swelling goes down, but I can't bend over well enough to pick it up 😂

Keep your sodium low, and increase your Protein.

Yeah my team actually says the opposite which makes sense if you think about it. Low sodium messes with your potassium and actually causes dehydration. You need 3-4grams of sodium a day. Worked wel for their patients.

I’m on day 3 post op. For those of you around the same, how much are you able to drink in a day? I don’t think I’m getting enough. I’m scared to drink/eat too much at once.

Im three days post op too. yesterday I ate 3 popsicles, 20 ounces of Premier Protein, 10-15 ounces of chick fil a unsweetened tea mixed with diet lemonade. I haven’t met the 64 ounce goal but I’m trying. Just slowly sipping. No big gulps or drinks.

I can get around 50-55 ounces of liquid, but I'm so bored of everything that I'm drinking that it slows me down 😬

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
