First of all stay positive. Don't let it get you down. Start small. I find that an egg with some cheese and salsa keeps me pretty full for a while. Try egg for Breakfast. If you like it do an egg for lunch too. Whatever it takes. I make mine inside a pepper ring. I cook my pepper ring first to soften it then crack the egg inside the pepper. Let it cook up then add my toppings. I'm 10 weeks out and can only handle 1 egg. Hopefully starting small will give you the strength to get through it. Good luck to you.

Maybe start from scratch? Go back to Protein Shakes once or twice a day. Try to prepare your food ahead of time. So maybe put a portion in a container and know that’s what you can have.

Also, try to go to a support group or therapy and talk it out. I like the support groups because I get good ideas and I don’t feel alone in this journey.

You can get back on track!!!! Good luck!

Track everything that you're eating. I like the MyPlate app, but a lot of people here use the MyFitnessPal app; use what works for you. Set a Protein goal for yourself, and hit that goal daily. Maybe start with 60g. That's where I started, but then move up to 80g, then maybe up it again, if you wish; personally, I try for 100g a day. When I'm aiming to get that much protein in, there isn't a lot of room for junk food. Set a Water goal, and hit it everyday. Just go back to the basics and stick to them. You know what to do!

about 7 months out. Right? Take advantage of this first year. Your weight loss will slow down as you progress out from surgery. Start today. don't let a weight gain turn into 20, 30, 50 pounds or more. Time to get your head back in the game. Suffer the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.

  • Find your surgeons plan instructions. Follow them
  • Clear out temptation food . go grocery shopping for healthy food.
  • Log your food. Hit your Protein and macro(carb fat) goals
  • Hydrate
  • fit in activity/exercise into your day.
  • join a accountability/support weight loss challenge.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
