Gastric pain after drinking Pepsi

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I did my Mini gastric bypass in 28th of may last year it's been a 1 year and 5 month free of junk food and carbonated drinks.< /p>

BUT last night i was craving for Pepsi so i drank a small can but now I'm having gastric pain in my lower stomach is it normal or should i tell my doctor???

I hate to tell him that cause he's a total meanie [emoji31]

What to do is there anyone had the same thing with carbonated drinks???

I had the sleeve gastrectomy in April of this year and if I have a small drink of anything carbonated, I feel nauseous until I let out a huge burp. I've actually had to get my hubby to pat me on the back like burping a baby.

I can drink carbonated, no issues (thankfully because I hate the taste of still water!)

My mate with a bypass can’t even have 50ml without pain, nausea. She is 4 years out.

Looks like you might be in her camp! But no great loss I reckon - nothing in soda or diet soda that is good for our journey!

I don’t drink carbonated beverages post-MGB. Almost 2 years post-op I don’t feel that great when I try to drink them. But it’s fine because I never had a soda habit before surgery so I’m not missing or craving them. They’re not healthy in general so I say good riddance.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
