It might be yeast - try monastat or athlete's foot cream/spray or jock itch (it's all fungal infections)

That is good advice.

I also use a good barrier cream and that helps a lot with chafing.

I'm going to second that it's more than likely yeast, check out some of the jock itch creams / antifungals, and please make sure you see your PCP and have them document that, it can help you in the future to support a request for Excess skin removal, lots of insurances require documented rash/skin issues before they approve skin removal.

@Biddy zz your signature block has an error. The procedure where one WLS is changed to another is called "Revision" not "Decision" So your signature should say "revision to RNY 2017" Also, RNY means Bypass, so saying "Bypass Bypass" is redundant. Just a friendly heads up.

I am a huge fan of this stuff.... My mom works in the healthcare industry and her patients use this for bed sores, chaffing, etc.

In the summer I've been known to get heat rashes and this clears it up before the day is out... I swear by the Coloplast cream products. It's like the movie "my big fat greek wedding" and the father says that he uses "windex" on everything... that's how I am with this cream. If a rash breaks out... I go to it. it's been my savior for years.

I will forewarn you, if your skin is broken - it may sting at first, but it quickly goes away.

Thanks but my signature wasn’t a mistake calling a revision a decision. I wasn’t referring to ‘revision to bypass’. I was saying ‘I made a decision to bypass’. I have tidied to clarify.

As for RNY means bypass - well, I am ok with it. If you look around this site, even the ‘official’ descriptors of the various forum boards regularly say RNY bapass’ - I reckon you’re on a losing campaign fighting that one!

Also having a rash/irritated skin. I think it's from the tape used over my incisions.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
