Nice job. I am 5’2” started out at 260lbs down 100lbs 6 months for surgery. Doc says I can get down to 130-135lbs that seems really skinny to me.

That’s great!

I’m 5’0, was 223 originally and I’m down to 179 (today!).

My weight-loss has gone really well... but I am a stickler for following the rules. I have had some minor bumps so far, but altogether - very happy. :D

Yes I did Dec.26, 2017 yet my doctor is saying I should have lost more than that so I don’t know if I should just rest my pouch by just doing all liquids for the next couple of days

I’m not sure I haven’t had surgery yet. But I have heard of people doing a reset by following their prep diet for a week.

Surgery: 8/18/18 revision from band to sleeve. I started at 182.7 and am now at 166.5. It seems to be slower than most but better than I could do on my own so I am happy with my results. I will begin to exercise next week. I have been at a stall for a couple of weeks. Good luck!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
