Im just not hungry! I didn't drink or eat anything until 3PM.

When I do try to have some puree I'm so full after only 3-4 little scoops on a baby spoon (baby spoon is not full)

If I do eat I don't have 6 meals a day, maybe only 1 or 2.

Is that normal at this stage?

I'm also on a weightless stall, I've been stuck at the same weight for 4 days.

I makes me not want to eat or drink anything at all.

I have a hard time getting my Protein in. I manage 1 Premier Protein a day.

Tell me this is all normal? Will I get into the swing of things soon?

You're just two weeks post-op. Completely normal. Same with stalls, they happen. Stay with the plan...your body needs Protein for survival and hydration for lots of stuff, including shedding fat cells. Just try to do a little bit more every day than you did the day before.

@MizzNewLife, I completely agree with Russ. Your body is in a healing stage and not providing it nutrients is unhealthy too. Take each day slowly and try to increase your intake a little at a time. You'll find once your nourish your body and follow your plan the pounds will shed away.

I feel you @MizzNewLife . My surgery was Aug 6 and I don't feel hungry at all either. I could get away with eating only 1 or 2 meals a day but really, what you're doing isn't healthy. There is no way you're getting your Protein needs by limiting yourself to only 2 meals of 3 bites of food a day. You don't want your body to go into starvation mode and that will cause stalls. You're going to stall anyways at this phase because your body is still healing from surgery.

The name of the game isn't "how little can I eat" - don't strive for that.

The name of the game is "can I get 60g of protein and 60 oz of Fluid in" - thats your goal. Its not a fun game, I just made a post about how I'd love a break from the game but I want to do this the healthy way, so I keep eating even when I don't want to.

Eat what you can, make sure it is high in protein. Two or three tiny bites is fine. It's better than nothing. But you have to try your best to sip all day. Your body may be in starvation mode due to the lack of food/water. Don[t get discouraged or annoyed, just do what you can to follow your program. Call your NUT and let them know what's going on, they will be able to suggest what you should do. Good luck to you, You'll get over this hump.

I guess it doesn’t help that I’m still breastfeeding too! Yeah I guess I just need to try harder to get in my needs. I have to change my mentality. But I also don’t want my tool to go to waste. Ugh the struggle

Thanks for all your wonderful insight.

You are not going to lose weight every day and sometimes not every week. You have to stop getting on the scale. As far as eating your pouch can hold on an average 3 oz. You may still have swelling in there. Just eat what you can and the rest let it be for now.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
