Recommended Posts

Hi friends. Well, today is the day. I have to be at the hospital 12:30PM Eastern time. My surgery is scheduled for 2. I honestly feel so sick right now and my stomach is cramping. I am having a terrible, terrible anxiety attack, and I just want to cry. Positive words will make me feel better 😭😭😭😭😭

Firstly, don't worry about it. Really couldn't be in a better place *IF* things happen. Which, odds are in your favor that they won't. Fear about surgery is 100% totally normal. Just give yourself a break and don't worry about being worried. Soon enough you'll be sleeping away while the docs work and you'll wake up to a whole new chapter of your life.

Be excited. Change is scary, but this change is good.

And He Will! He loves us as a Shepherd does, helping the weaker lambs until they can be healed and rejoin the flock. And as He watches over the tiniest sparrow he will watch over our friend until she is whole again! Don't we Serve an Awesome God? Lets agree on this in 🙏prayer!

You'll be fine. No need for nerves to take control. It's really a smooth process, everyone at the hospital will make you feel so comfortable.

Hi everyone!!! I am doing completely fine right now. Just trying to get some rest. I am very thirsty right now. After the operation, I was on a lot of discomfort with gas pains and nausea. I threw up flemmy blood. Luckily they gave me something for my nausea that knocked me out. I felt like I was able to walk right after my sleep. I did end up walking 1/4 of a mile in the unit!!! I was scared, but once I was in the hospital, everyone was so kind that you kind of forget about it Bc I asked how many sleeves they have done today. Thanks for all the prays my friends. I truly needed it. FYI, it is a very long process. I was in the pre op stage waiting in my bed at 12:50pm, then I finally got my room at 9:30pm!!!!! My poor parents. Any questions, please just let me know ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

Glad you’re out and doing well. What was the flemmy blood from? Did they check everything out to make sure you’re ok?

They told me it was from the tube that was down my throat. I also asked my step mom, who is an OBGYN, and she said it was very normal. Don’t worry, I made sure to ask everyone Bc I was so scared of heaving blood!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
