When I was allowed to eat egg I hard boiled it and added some non-fat Greek yogurt to make an egg salad kind of thing. Just mash it up well and chew, chew and then chew again.
I'm struggling with Water and Protein too 4 weeks out. I'm managing about 1 litre but I'm just not hungry so having a hard time with the protein thing. I cannot get past the gag reflex with Protein Shakes so that's out. However my partner's ex-wife (we're friends and she's 8 weeks ahead of me with RNY -even the same surgeon!) gave me some pure unflavoured non-gluggy Gelatin based protein that I've been adding to my supper, so that has to be helping. It's called Peptipro gelatin. It's from Australia so I'm not sure if they deliver to the US but you should be able to find something similar online.
I've just ordered some Peptipro...hopefully it is ok. Thanks for the tip!

So dr on Tuesday he says for now only do two oz of anything at a time and he is watching my gallbladder. Says some of the recent pain from eating could be that. So we will see😏

Cindih576, my nurse Practioner told me I could up to 6 oz at a time, told her "you don't know Precious Pouch very well, I tried to drink 6 oz- I was in misery for over a hour, thought I had popped something until the pain left. I will keep on with 4 oz if it is All The Same!" She conceded that was OK,better cause I'm not into misery. I have enough of that with the stricture! Tomorrow maybe Dr Noria 😷will make me all better!

Ok, I'm now 30 days post op and have completely lost the will to eat anything. This morning while I was looking for what to take to work every option just made me feel ill. I'm forcing down my daily All Bran (30 g) with milk but only because if I don't eat it every day I'll get bunged up and that's horrible. I know I'll get malnourished if I don't eat, but there is nothing that I see that I actually can face eating. The thought of an egg makes me gag, the chicken breast I tried last night made me nauseous, the tuna with mayo yesterday lunch made me nauseous, sweet potato (my favourite thing!) just tasted horrible. I don't know what to do....Any ideas anyone?

Oh, and my weight loss has stalled. For the last week I have stayed within 100 g. 97.4, 97.3, 97.4

I can eat 5.5 oz of yogurt without any issues. I can drink at least one or two Protein Shakes a day and I am trying to drink my Water. I am still having trouble introducing more solid foods. I have been successful with one or two pieces of canned vegetables.

I’m feeling a lot like you. So far the ONLY things I can eat besides liquids like chicken broth is refried Beans, yogurt and cottage cheese. I tried cod the other night and it felt horrible. Tried chicken that made me nauseous. This is getting harder. 🙄. I am sticking to liquids and blended for now

@MMME have you tried Soup? It’s been one of my go-to foods. Easier to get down than solids.

I haven't yet but I have a recipe for a Soup that I love so I'll make a pot of that tonight. I simply have no interest in eating anything :(

I might try going back to blended and liquids again for a few days to see if that sparks an interest in food.

It's just really odd to me, that for over 40 years I've been addicted to food but it's like I'm not only cured of the addiction but the "drug" I used to love repulses me now. I'm sure it's just a phase, but I really don't want to make myself ill by not eating anything. So... soup, yogurt and some I'll try some Beans.

Thanks very much for your suggestions. My partner tries to help but he just doesn't get the fact that my tastebuds have changed so dramatically in the past month that everything tastes bad. I'm even off coffee!

I am going to make some chicken noodle Soup with canned veggies and baby Pasta and lots of seasoning in it so I can freeze it. I start back to work on Wednesday and I have to have stuff I want to eat there.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
