This was a bit of an experiment. I have been away from a food scale for two weeks, and discovered a lot of slider foods while I was on vacation. I was curious how much restriction I have with solid Protein. Clearly, A LOT, lol. This was one bite past my restriction, so I had a few minutes of nausea, uncomfortable-ness until it all settled.

Went to lunch with my mom today at Cracker Barrel. I got my favorite meal. Pre-op I would have gotten the dinner size with 3 sides and ate every single bite. Today I got the lunch portion with two sides. I don't order drinks at restaurants anymore either, just Water. No reason to pay 2.50 for something I can only take a few sips of. Anyway, here is my before and after lunch plate. Ill have the rest for dinner.

Okay, so I'm finally on solid foods and here's my before and after:

This was a wasa (sourdough) cracker and two turkey "roll ups", each made of two thin deli slices of turkey and one slice of provolone. Ate half the cracker and one of the roll ups, even though I was starting to feel pretty full after just 2/3 of one roll up.

It changes how I'm going to pack lunches for this week, I think! I had estimated WAY too much food needed for each day...

P.s. that "plate" is a saucer, made it look really big!

I LOVE Cracker Barrel. I used to be sad the closest one was hundred of miles from me. But then between WLS and learning of their history of discrimination, I'm grateful for the lack of temptation. But none of that makes their dumplings any less delicious!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
