Burn Boot Camp

Recommended Posts

I wanted to share the best gym experience I have found for anyone looking to take their workouts to the next level.
About 4 months post op I wanted to increase from just cardio to something that would build strength etc. I am so lucky they had just opened a Burn Boot Camp in my area.

The concept is a 45 minute high intensity workout led by a trainer. The majority of classes are women only and they offer free child care at many. This community of women has pushed me and encouraged me and held me accountable. After my surgery I was having trouble finding friends who embraced a more active lifestyle and this group was my answer. My very first day I couldn’t even do half the work out but everyone embraced me just the same. You also have one on one sessions with the trainer to track measurements, get nutrition help etc.

They have locations nation wide and they are expanding so check to see if they are in your area. I consider this one of the best victories for me post surgery so I thought I would share my experience, in case anyone with out there is looking.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
