I finally went below 400 this week. That was my first major goal. Next is 330, the weight I was at when I was probably in the best shape of my life when I played college football (6’6” 330). Then I want to tackle 250 after that as my ultimate goal.

I was stalled for about 8 days at one point since I last posted and then this week I was dropping 1-2 lbs every single day until I just weighed in at 393. That is a total loss of 84 lbs thus far.

That's amazing! You really look great! Congrats!!!

whoohoooooooooo isn't that the greatest feeling??? I celebrated going into the 250's lbs range earlier this week and I felt like I was walking on sunshine. You have come such a long way in a short time. I am inspired! But remember you are in this for the marathon, not the sprint :P Congrats on this new milestone

Down 89 lbs total. Forgive the sunburn — went to a ballgame the other day with friends and forgot my sunscreen and hat.

The picture on the left was taken two weeks prior to gastric sleeve on April 27. The picture on the right was taken today.

I get this question a lot after I make posts; people fire away with personal messages. So I will answer it here.

No, I have not had any issues with loose skin. I don’t know if I have any secrets to share. I will gladly tell you what I do. I eat 1300 calories, 120+ Protein a day, I walk 5 miles or more a day and I weight lift 5 days a week. I also use skin so soft lotion all over my body each day after a shower. I make sure I drink plenty of Water. As much as I can stand.

I have zero sagging skin despite rapid weight loss. I don’t know what, if any of the above, produces those results. It could simply be age, gender or genetics for all I know.

Also, we have six garages on our house so after I got really going on the weight lifting I converted one to an in-home gym complete with gym flooring and I’ve added every type of weight lifting machine to beside a leg press machine. I am also looking for a giant tire to roll around my property.

This train has no brakes and I feel like a million bucks. If you are on the fence with this surgery, don’t be. Make sure you vet your surgeon and get a really good one but definitely do it!

That's amazing! I'm hoping to lose a pound a day too - I'll be working out 5 times a week!

Good luck! Once you get going with it, it becomes like second nature. There were a few times early on I had to make myself get up at 5 am and workout because I absolutely did not want to. You have to push through that.

Photographs say it all. You deserve to feel proud. Thank you for trusting us with your progress. It's hard to put yourself out on display since some people can be brutally judgmental (as a mask for envy).

I have a lot of respect for those who work hard to meet their goals. I feel inadequate in many ways because I know I'd never be able to walk 5 miles a day --- let alone 1/4 of a mile. I know there are exercises that don't involve weight-bearing maneuvers... still, I feel cheated by the post-op cramping in my leg and a chronic ankle injury that limits my ability to boost my weight loss with rigorous exercise. Yes, WLS is a tool, but when you can't do much in the way of productive exercise, it's like working with a dull tool.

I didn't intend to turn this post into something about myself. Sometimes thoughts and frustrations take over.

I am truly happy about your success and I hope that you reach all of your primary goals -- and your in-between goals, too.:)

So I am off all medication other than Vitamins. I am down 122 lbs total since my surgery on May 10, 2018. Hard to believe how much my life has changed in just four months.

I have continued to eat right. I walk at least 5 miles a day and workout five days a week M-F and take weekends off from lifting.

My body has changed completely. I haven’t been in this good of shape since I played college football. Amazing journey so far.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
