Need help refocusing, lost my dad mid October and kind of lost motivation, I'm a little over a year post surgery. What are some of your strategies for getting back on track and refocusing?

Sorry for your loss.

Motivation.
You know what you need to do. Just do it.
Does it suck. Sure.
Do you want to go back to being as big as you were before? Probably not.

A good way, if you are having issues getting back on track. Is to just start over.
Start with your pre-op diet and work through it as if you were just starting out. Then follow the post op diet the same way you did before, working right back through each of the steps until you completed them all. When in doubt, start over.

I'm sure your dad would want you to continue to be successful. If you need any motivation, and aren't going to keep going for yourself. Do it for him.

You got this!

Go to therapy. it's what it's there for. Get a little help with grief and dealing with your feelings about falling off the diet wagon so to speak. It can't hurt, and it might help a lot. Best wishes.

Very sound advice. Most insurance plans offer a mental health component as far as coverage goes. Use every tool at your disposal for your successful new health.

Not doing what's popular just doing what's Right.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
