So....can you please tell me which phase cottage cheese and apple sauce falls in???

They gave it to me at the hospital the day after surgery so I assumed it was considered a full liquid item. I have been eating it ever since. Am I wrong??????

Also, how many people start their purée foods a few days early? I have two days to go and all I want is something new!!!

On my plan those would count as purees. But if your doctor was ok with the hospital diet, I'm sure you're fine.

Don’t panic about it. All doctors have different rules!

in general, it best to follow his plan but the plan’s main purpose is teaching you about eating, more than it is about your new tummy. I was on solid food (chicken, fish) before leaving hospital!

Thanks for all of your responses! It’s just so confusing sometimes and I don’t want to eat something that I’m not supposed to!

for the first week I was liquid only, but in the 2nd week I started to nibble on really soft things like scrambled egg and pureed stewed Tomato. it was fine.

I was under the impression (from my own surgery and lots of others) that bypass patients start purees the day they leave the hospital. Sleeves get stuck on liquids for a month after surgery (typically).

Man, I would have loved to start purees right away!!! I was instructed to have full liquids for two weeks which is thankfully over now!!!!!

Just highlights the continued variations in pre and post op diets... I was on purees for a month... it REALLY started to suck...

So true! I think the repetition of any foods become tiresome after a while. I’m still loving my purees right now but I’m only on day 3 so I’m sure it will start to suck any day now! Lol

It really depends on the clinic, I think...I had bypass this past Monday. I was told to do one week of Clear Liquids only, two weeks of full liquid diet, then two weeks of pureed foods, then at last solid foods five weeks in...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
