18 months out and feel so good. I retired in September 2017 so I take care of my grandson. My daughter and husband got orders to Japan so we moved here. I was walking about 8-10 miles a day which I could barely walk 1 mile before. Now its too hot so doing Zumba daily. Still head for the plus sizes when I go shopping, feels so good that I can buy a medium. I did the surgery not to get skinny but to get healthy which I am now. I now eat lots of fresh veggies and fresh fish. Lovin life so much now! So glad I did it.

I am 5 weeks post op and I have lost 36 pounds!! I have more energy, and I feel more confident in some things but less in others! I still want to shop in bigger clothes!! When I’m in the large sizes I expect someone to tap me on the shoulder and say could you please move over to the plus size isle and I find myself looking around more than looking at the clothes!! I still have Head hunger and I get mad with myself!! Also I’m not as confident in my marriage, because I know my husband is attracted to bigger women!! But I had to get healthy for me!!!

He might find that he loves the new you, its not all about physical appearance. He may discover that your energy levels are irresistible.

8-10 miles a day is incredible! I think I'll always gravitate towards the plus sizes too! I don't know what I'll do when I have to adventure into the regular women's section. I'm not far away in tops. Next stop is an XL.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
