A lot of the post-op trials and tribulations now seem to be in the rear view mirror. The scale is moving again and I am within inches of being under 3 bills. Whuuuut!? I never thought I would see this. Also, I've got 110 pounds left to lose but this number does not seem nearly so high anymore. I get two really close milestones. The first one is being under 3 bills, then the next is no longer qualifying for surgery. :P

Congrats! I know it's an amazing feeling breaking that 300 mark! Now if I could only get this last 8 lbs to shed so I can hit my 250 mark!

Congratulations on moving into Twoferville, keep it up Big Buddy, keep it up. The shining Finish Line is Ahead, you came this far without crawling, you'll cross this Finish Line standing straight up shaking your fist at all the Nay-Sayers. If you need a plump cheerleader who has nothing booked until her own surgery sometime next month, I am quite available. It would take my mind off of my own life, I'm stuck in a reciprocating cycle, explode, implode, explode, implode. Along with my other July goal, I will either be evicted or in a house of my own. Doesn't make sense? Try living it! Thinking about you heading toward 250 keeps me from making reg rugs in the Home for The Bewildered. Your friend Frustr8😪

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
