Post surgery depression?

I definitely hit a bout of depression after surgery. It’s such and adjustment and I feel partly that there is so much build up and excitement leading up, the it eventually settles and also your body adjusting too. I was suffering from mental illness anyway but things have been getting better.

Don’t rule out meds. Maybe give it some time but if you need help, maybe look into it.

You are not the same person as you were prior to surgery. In many ways your body will never be but you have to believe the new improved YOU will be so vastly an improvement that it will be worth the physical pain, the emotional sorrow and psychological angst to justify,it all!
