Go Judi! You look amazing!

By the way, what's the story on that stars and stripes outfit in the pic? Is that a belly dance costume??

Hi all.....

Thank you so much for your kind compliments! And, thanks for teaching me how to add pix! Wow....I got it on the first try!

pizza.....you asked about my dressed up dress form! Nope, that's not my stripper costume! She's my alter-ego!:lol::smile: Ha!Ha!Ha! No, not really!

Actually, I have a dress form that I dress up for holidays....yes, I know, kinda weird. In that pix, she was dressed up for 4th of July. We had been on vacation for 3 weeks prior to my surgery so I never got around to undressing her. The morning we were leaving for surgery, she was standing there and my sister made the comment that soon I would be wearing THAT outfit. So, when we went to take my "before" picture, my sister put her in the shot.

Thanks for asking!

Judi,

You look great! I was wondering what the costume was all about as well -- now you have solved the mystery.

At the rate you're going, you will be able to wear that costume this July 4!

Congrats!

But, the real question is......will the world be READY for me to wear that costume this 4th of July?????? I'll need a few little patriotic stickers to cover my scars. And, I'm sure I'll need a few other tweaks....ha!ha!ha!

I'll have to try it out here at home first......;-)

You are all right....seeing a pix really makes me believe that I am doing this! Day-to-day I really never see the difference. Keep posting your pix everyone!!!!

Thanks!

Judi

Well I have to say that when you finish with your work you are going to be a masterpiece. OMG you look fabulous.

5 days and counting until I get to post my 6 month pics. I am excited because there has been a huge change in my body since I took the last pics. For those of you biggest loser fans, these 5 days should be my "last chance" workout, but considering that I am at home sick today and that both of my principals go to my gym, I probably shouldn't go tonight. Besides, I really do feel like crap and I don't think I would make it very far on the treadmill. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and will go.

Thank you!!! Sometimes people who knew me at my biggest but haven't seen me since my surgery don't even recognize me, and that feels great!!!

I love my band! My third fill then small un-fill back in December put me at 6.1cc. in a 10cc band, and it's "just right". Lots of restriction but still able to live a somewhat "normal" existance.

Do any of you have trouble with your hair thinning? Mine "sheds" - it was very thick before, and now just sheds all the time. Not coming out in clumps, but in strands. What can I do to remedy this??

Well I have to say that when you finish with your work you are going to be a masterpiece. OMG you look fabulous.

Shea you look really stunning -- Congrats!

I had a problem with thinning hair until late December when I started using a special dietary supplement by Solaray called "Hair Nutrients."

It has several different types of Vitamins and minerals, and I have seen a noticeable since I started using this product. In fact, I recently saw my hairdresser who told me that she noticed a difference too.

You can purchase this product at a Health food store, or you can purchase it online. I just happened to come across it by accident one day and decided to give it a try. Thus far, I have been very pleased with this product and plan to continue using it.

Have a great night!

Sheaross, I've not had the thining hair issue so far but, I've read that lots of bandsters have that problem and they seem to relate it to inadequate Protein intake. Have you heard that before?

You do look fantastic. You've done a great job. I hope I'll be a size 12 at 185. How tall are you?

Shea, you're gorgeous! Congratulations, you!

Karri, good call staying home from your workout yesterday. Sometimes your body needs to rest and recuperate!

Oh, to be a size 12 - hopefully by summer! I'm an 18 on the bottom and 14 on top, so it shouldn't be too long.

Top ten things I have learned in 6 months

10. 650 calories takes 5 minutes to eat and 2.5 hours to work off.

9. There is NOT always room for Jello.

8. Sometimes it takes 28 years before you can finally run that mile.

7. Even if no one sees you eat it, the calories still exist.

6. Size 10 is not just for someone else.

5. A double chin is not necessary for survival.

4. I wasn't big boned...just fat.

3. The scale only gives you a number, and I am MUCH more than a number.

2. To chew or not to chew...depends on how much foam you want to spit up.

And the number 1 thing that I have learned in the last 6 months...

1. To love who I have become, and to forgive myself for the past.

Oh yeah...AND I'M HOT!

Do my eyes deceive me or do you seem to be a Razorback fan?!?! I can't make it out for sure in the small picture. Woo Pig Sooie!!!!! I'm originally from Arkansas, but living in NYC now. But I love meeting fellow hog fans!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
