DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED... can you believe they changed my date. NY Presbyterian had the audacity to tell me that they didn’t have an operating room for this Monday coming up the 15th and that I had to be rescheduled for the 21st. I can’t even recite what I said to them because it’ll be a bunch of *********** ** **** ******** ******* but I was livid. Now I’m just sad that I have to wait another week.

Sorry to hear that... are you still on your liquid diet? If so, how are you feeling?

Went back to work and really feeling good. Went to my first support group meeting and met someone who said they will assist me with getting my insurance company to hopefully cover my Protein shakes! I'm excited

I broke it for a few days [emoji30] because I refused to be on it for over 3 weeks because of incompetent people. But I’m back now.. for whatever reason those few days helped me realized I’m not really missing out on anything and I didn’t feel as good as I thought I would after eating. I hope this week goes by fast and not because I’m on Protein but because I can’t wait to be on the losers bench [emoji28]

O wow that’s really good because those shakes can really put a dent. I was actually wondering the other day how come seniors can qualify for ensure but we can’t qualify for protein but I guess it’s prob because this is an elective procedure.
Don’t let them give you the generic ones 🤢

Sorry to hear about non -coverage for seniors, actually we are WellRipened, you know. Does this hold true for Medicare and Medicaid as well.? I'm on those since WallWorld and I parted company, because of illiness. Afterl 11+ years of service, they decided having me around just made them SICK. A lot of animosity? Well enough to fill a couple 2 oz medicine cups. Don't hate corporate as,much as a few supervisors. You've heard the old country about Don't let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya? I would refine that,slightly-May they get caught in an electric door and then have it jam! Oh and I would also put in the female one who said " Why should we pay you Workmans Compensation when you don't work for us anymore?" State law, MaryAnn, State law! Geeesh!😋

Surprisingly I was able to choose if I wanted to go first which means I have to be there at 5:30 AM I decided that was best for me because I can’t imagine having nothing in my stomach all day until a 2-3pm procedure, lord! but my team has to call me too on Friday for all the specifics.

I’m going to be messaging you from my hospital bed asking if you went in yet [emoji23]

Please do!!! I’m so excited!!! You will probably be done before me. I’d love to have it that early but I think there’s others scheduled that day. My surgeon said it takes about an hour and half 🤞🏼. Add me on instagram if you have one @alljosgiosmom

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
