Motivation or lack thereof

Recommended Posts

I am having issues with the motivation to exercise. What does everyone do for motivation to keep exercising? I am a year and a half out and looking to try and tighten up some loose skin in my belly com thighs! Anything helps!

good music will put you in the mood. My brother lost 115lbs and was real thin but was flabby he started a kenogenic diet and in 1 month his transformation has been huge. Set short term a goal and get r done nothing better than seeing the results of hard work

Music can provide motivation once you are at the gym and in the middle of exercise, but it won't do much to get your butt in the gym. Getting to the gym takes determination more than motivation.

That's the thing I have already lost 118lbs. Most of the extra weight now is just the loose skin. I am at a healthy BMI. I am 5'3" and 139 just lack the motivation and anytime I set a date to start exercising again I get super sick and can't

There is no exercise that will tighten skin. If that is your motivation, I hate to be the bringer of bad news.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
