well, she's the only manicurist at that spa and i do love her ... she gives the most amazingly awsomely wonderfully great foot massages... **swoon**

also posting to say that my lovely DD is on her 3rd bowl of Cereal this morning.... NO CLUE where she puts it!!

LJM - I know how you feel about those foot massages. The place I go for my pedi's has a man that does them - he has the strongest hands...if he is busy when I get there (I usually walk in) I wait. He is so worth it!

My DD's are bottomless pits too...LOL

Have had a pedi once in my life...just can't see the point when my feet are covered all day, and I can always think of something better to spend my paltry pennies on...like books. Books - just can't have too many.

LOL - Love my pedis! I started getting them last year. It feels so good and my feet look pretty...okay, I'm vain - I'll admit it - about my feet.

I love books too - me and the Library have a very well established relationship. DD's also are V.I.P.'s there. It's free (I'm cheap, but will dough out money for my feet - LOL).

Luluc - I knew I liked you! You're a woman after my own heart...now I do have a little shoe buying issue (love them now). I have to have cute shoes to match the new clothes I've been forced to buy...my preference - barefoot.

I'm surprised I didn't get ringworms as a child. I was a tomboy and never wore shoes - anywhere. My mom would have to about horsewhip me to get a pair on my feet - LOL

Ohhhh tap! Too bad. In fact, today is Pedi day for me. It takes them well over an hour, with all the messaging, hot stones, hot towels, hot oils, hot bubbles... :tongue2: Then of course the finish product, one pair of hot feet.

Side note, of course the shoes too. Can't forget the shoes.. to show off those hot feet.

I have never had a pedi but I do have a helluva lot of books - 11 bookcases and most of these have two layers of books on them. I should try having a pedi. I have ugly feet, big (size 10.5) and bony, and even though I am Canadian people do see a lot of them. This is because we take our shoes/boots off when we are indoors and I almost never wear socks. I should do people who see my feet a favour and have a pedi.

I can't imagine that - like all my other projects, I have dozens started, and left in different rooms, and all 'in process' at the same time.

Shoes - well friends and coworkers refer to me as Imelda just because in my office I have 2 shoe racks and one filing cabinet drawer, and at home I have multiple shoe racks and a 5 shelf 3 sided storage unit just for shoes. But I don't really buy that many!! It is just that I keep my shoes in good condition, so that they last years. My office shoes never see outside - therefore are never exposed to puddles, mud, tar, etc. I wear my sneakers to work, and change into my shoes. For example, today I am wearing a classic 2 1/2" heeled, closed toe navy leather pump. As they are only worn with a navy suit, never are worn outside, and are reheeled maybe every 2 years, and polished regularly they last. These classic shoes of good quality leather cost a fortune when I bought them, but have lasted almost 10 years.

Posting to say I'm ROFLMBO at Plain...weeping and eating Cheetos while naked...what a visual!

Like LJM, I have tons of books - my DH and I built floor-to-ceiling bookshelves in one room (ostensibly to hide a poorly placed support post) and they are now full...I have them in boxes all over the house! Time to go to Home Depot and build more bookshelves!:tongue2:

Tapshoes - thank you very much! I was wondering what to do with my shoes - it would be SO much easier to leave some of my business shoes at the office and stop having to transport them...then I get to buy more for at home! :)

I agree - navy shoes for a navy suit - preferably purchased at the same time, because a 'true navy' is getting harder and harder to find! Now navy has a lot of black in it...makes it really hard to match! :wink2:

Oh my god...I love you!:tongue2:

I spend most of my money on two things: Books and music. If I had to go to school naked for a day just for a book shopping spree, I'd do it.

I love reading and I was buying a lot of books when I was fat, when I was too fat to find clothes that I liked, and yet was in the mood for a little shopping. And people have given me their books when downsizing and I inherited my mum's books. As a result, I have quite a few books which I haven't read yet. About the only good thing about being laid up with cancer over these past 7-8 months is that I have had the chance to do a lot of reading (and I have been feeling too crappy to do any shopping). This meant that a lot of my books finally got read (and I saved a lot of money).

Red shoes can look nice with navy, I think.

I am just the strangest woman I know. Shoes do nothing for me. For work, I have one pair of blue, one pair of brown and one pair of black. For home, I have my tennies and my sandals. Other than that, I just don't care about shoes. If I can be barefoot, I am. Usually at work, I throw my shoes off as soon as I hit my office and half the time I forget to put them back on before I go walking around the building.

I am majorly into books though. I love downloading ebooks onto my blackberry so I can read whenever and wherever, I always have a book with me.

Plain, where do I send my $5.00 to?

I love ebooks too Susan. I should own stock in the company - at least I would be gaining some financial benefits from all my spending. I was once like tap and everyone else, I had tons of books. Now I just download them. If not I'll take a trip to the library (when I'm being cheap i.e. have no money). Books & Shoes are my two guilty pleasures.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
