Are you looking for the BariatricPal Store? Go now!

I hate it when people post just to post.....

I did just what you said SickNTired. I told them that I think I will do well in their store, and that I have faced a tougher job (training staff, and promotions **puke**) and survived, that I would be a fab addition to their company, despite having been at home caring for my late FIL, and my son for the last 4 years. That I was just the best there was, and that they wont find better sort of thing.

And I got the job. Just got the call. I start in 2 weeks :)

OH HELL YEAH!!!!!!! This is, by far, the best news I've gotten all day!!! I am beyond thrilled for you!:rolleyes2:

((((((((Chickie)))))))) long distance hug for you! Congrats!

I'm sitting here with a big smile on my face looking like an idjut.

Very true, there is always something New & Improved!!

But I was so exhusted by the pain I was in (and other issues) that I simply wanted it all over, if you get what I mean. And band out, VSG in, was a simple way of getting rid of this pain, and any I might go through in the future.

Thankfully it was just a matter of going in, and chopping off some tubing, but that was still a surgery. Still carried risk, blah, blah, blah.

And joy of joys! My hair is falling out again (just like every other time I have had surgery)

I hope that when I see my doc tomorrow he clears me for running. I am losing my mind here. I really have missed running. It's cathartic, and I needed it over the last few weeks.

*sigh* I really am in a mood tonight.

The bit about the tubing caught my eye, Chickie, but I don't know the background. Do you have a separate thread with the details? I am interested to see if this is the same problem that I am having (kink in my tubing), and might be going in for surgery sometime in September to correct. I think it will be a fairly minor procedure and it isn't bothering me at the moment (not interfering with fills), so I'm not even sure I'm going to worry about getting it done.

Here's a link to my story: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f78/kink-my-tubing-63672/

Thank you Georgia and Froggi!! I’m so excited and most importantly relieved. I’m well over the hill of total weight loss now and the other side is getting more into focus every day.

Does anyone else find it amusing that TerriDoodle (beginner of thread) only posted on the first page (I think)?

posting just to say no comment....

Is there a hidden meaning in your "no comment" or are you just posting? I just thought it was kind of funny that 200+ pages later......that's all.

I thought she posted for at least a few pages??

Anyway, I want to watch yesterday's Big Medicine which I have on my DVR but Mr. Mac is watching Army of Darkness (for the 100th time) and won't give up the tv.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
