Okay, so I’m 18 days post op, official move to soft day, a week ago my nutritionist allowed me to add a couple soft foods to my diet and slowly begin transitioning because I was struggling so badly on the purée liquid diet.< /p>

Since I added any semi soft food to my diet I’ve lost no weight.

I’m still only eating about 800 cal a day, but losing nothing. My Water intake is where it should be, my Protein intake is a little bit low, but I have a really hard time getting a Knouff food in in a day right now still.

I am also getting my exercise in but still don’t seem to be losing anything. I’ve heard about the stalls, has anyone had any luck breaking through the stall by increasing activity level, food intake, or water intake?

The only thing that works....is patience and consistency.

Stalls are irritating, but they're part of the package.

I'm four months out and I've already had two or three stalls. They really do end if you're scrupulous when you count your calories and remember to move around a lot. Also, really work to get that Protein, as it can be harder to lose weight if your protein count is too low. Be patient and your weight loss will start again soon!

Don't consider this a stall. When you start adding food back you begin refilling the digestive pipeline that you emptied on your liquid diet. Food takes ~3.5 days from end to end. Just as this probably accounted for 4 pounds of percieved (but not actual) weight loss on the liquid diet it will make it look like your weight loss has stalled (or even gone up) for about 3-6 days.

Trust me it was frustrating for me to see the same number on the scale for 4 days as soon as I started eating a little bit of soft food.

Good advice from Creekimp12. Also, make sure you are taking your measurements. It is possible to be losing inches while nothing is showing up on the scale. This has happened to me many times since I had my surgery. Just keep on moving forward with the plan it you body will adjust. It's trying to figure out what you're doing to it.

Curious if there's any update on your progress? Did you break through the stall?

I'm in the exact same spot and freaking out. Two weeks out and stuck for the last 6 days, despite eating 90% clean.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
