How do you do it? I used to always be well hydrated but having surgery has actually had a negative effect on my drinking habits. I'm just not thirsty anymore and drinking Water feels like a chore now more than ever.

Flavor it with Crystal light or Mio. Drink green or herbal tea. The warmth of that might be a nice change up. Put ice in it, some people prefer that to body temprature. Utilize sugar free popsicles, is there any flavor you really like? I like strawberry kiwi, probably, will put some in my hospital bag, fruit punch flavor got sorta wearying after a while and I loathe watermelon flavored anything.

I have gotten really good at this Water game! Yep I treat it as a game or challenge and it literally starts the minute I wake up! I drink at the least 84 ozs a day. I bring my water bottle with me everywhere I go. If its not in my hand its in my purse. I actually now kind have a mini freak out if I don't have it! I also track my water alongside my food in an app on my phone.

I'm right there with you. I used to get about 100oz a day, now I barely make 56oz and my goal is 64. I flavor it with mio, but I think I might just start cutting up pieces of fresh fruit like lemon/lime etc. The mio is not cheap and it's starting to taste more and more artificial and not helpful! I'm also never thirsty anymore unless I'm working out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
