~December 2017 Sleevers~Updates

Recommended Posts

If anyone who got sleeved in Dec 2017 met their weight loss goal, their final one, I will cry and sob for a week

Lol

I've only lost about 54 pounds (including preop diet) lol

I have about 120-130 pounds to go, but I will get there, or die trying lol

Down 60 pounds, another 30 or so to goal. Tolerating pretty much any food. Waist is down 4 inches. Down to XL shirts. Stopped 3 prescription meds and down to a really low dose of the fourth (and should be off that one in a few months).

Have not met my first goal yet & I'm highly discouraged. I'm down 19 pounds. Sleeved 12/27. I get my Water and Protein in daily. I walk 3-4 days on the treadmill plus weight training here and there. The weight just don't want to come off. I am losing inches but the scale has not moved in weeks. I don't know if I should be eating more or exercising less. I burn anywhere from 4-900 calories on the days I work out and intake 8-1200 calories ( net calories are 5-1000) I think I may have put my body in starvation mode

Hi December Kids!

I started this journey at 268, sleeved at 255 and am now 226. My loss has been very slow but steady as I approach the 3 month mark. I am feeling meh about it. I had one of those Iron stomachs that tolerated anything and other than the amount of food I can ingest, I have had no issues with anything... Not sure if that is a good thing? The only thing I have to look out for is the amount of food bc I do feel it if I eat too much. I try to do 3-5 small meals a day ... Protein protein protein. I’ve given up most carbs but every now and then I “indulge” when it can’t be helped.

My work keeps me traveling so I eat out a lot. I had my first alcoholic beverage two weeks ago... ate dinner prior to the drink and sipped slowly. I had two more drinks on different days in the following week. I ate a few bites of desert and a nibble of chocolate.

I also get scared that I’m eating too normal as aimee jones said. I eat protein first and sometimes am still not full. So 30 mins later I try to fill up a on Water. Eventually we are supposed to be able to eat more than a few ounces though I didn’t expect to be able to so soon and that worries me.

I actually don’t have an end goal weight so I’m just going one day at a time. Sorry.. no point to this post ... just talking. Would love to continue chatting up December kids though!

I tried alcohol for the first time since surgery last week. One normal-sized vodka and lemonade, mostly vodka, and it got me FUCKED. UP. Saturday night I had some wine with dinner and that went much better.

I am tolerating most things. Yesterday I had sausage, egg, and cheese on a garlic bagel and that came right up. I though that would be better than cream cheese on a bagel; guess not!

Hey guys! I'm coming up on 3 months next week and feel good! I've been able to tolerate most things. I had a donut today actually and it kinda didn't sit well right after so I won't be doing that again anytime soon. My stats are pretty much accurate still. I stalled for a few days here and there especially when that time of the month sneaks around. I'm on a modified keto/low carb diet for the most part, high Protein, at least 120oz of Water daily, and 30 mins of cardio. Many people have said I already look "skinny", but I'm not even close to it. Hope you guys love your tool as much as I do!

I had my 3-month follow up on Friday. The surgeon told me that, if I tried to have the surgery now (at my current height/weight and with my current medical conditions), I wouldn’t qualify.

I had surgery Dec 4th. I am down 45% of my excess weight already so said the nurse at my 3 month check up. I am thrilled and so happy to have gotten the surgery. Best decision ever.

I'm surprised that I can eat more that I ever expected. I'm definitely trying to learn how to live while feeling hungry without eating. I'm scared to death my stomach stretched and I'll gain everything back. I've lost 45 pounds and realize stress is my emotional eating trigger. Working on that.

I had my surgery on 12/29/17. I have lost 46 pounds and feel great! I haven’t had any issues other than learning to eat slower. I am tolerating most foods and doing a decent job getting my Water in. I am no longer a Diabetic and other medications have been cut in half. I am so happy I did this and suprised that the medical results are showing so fast. I exercise with weights 3 days a week and light cardio 3 days.

I started taking GENEPRO Protein Powder to keep my levels up. I’ve heard lots of complaints but it’s working for me. Love this website and being able to read everyone’s story.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
