Hi everyone,

this is our third week in the Couch to 5K program. This is designed to be a 9 week program, but you can repeat weeks (as I will be doing) until you are comfortable moving on. However, you are not supposed to skip weeks.

It has been strongly suggested by trainers and runners alike to NOT run on consecutive days.

More information can be found here: Cool Running :: The Couch-to-5K Running Plan

Attached are the first thru third weeks in detail

Anyone is free to join, no matter where we are!! :(

This is the place to check in and support with each other and see how it is going.

What week are you doing?

How is it going for you? Is it too difficult / too easy?

Any comments??

Good luck everyone!

I just finished week 1. I did sessions on Monday, Wednesday and today(Sunday). I was too busy Friday and Saturday to do it so the week got kinda messed up. When all of you started Couch to 5K I thought it would a great thing to work on and it didn't seem so daunting because it gradually gets you into running. I hope you guys will allow me to join you even though I'm pre-band.

I think I'm going to do week 1 over again, but up the speed. My brisk walk was only 3.6 mph and my "run"(jog) was 3.9mph. Today I did 3.7/4mph. I'm taking Jachut's advice and starting slow and working my way up.

If you any of you redid Week 1, what were your speeds the first week 1 as compared to the second week 1?

You all are such inspirations to me!

I think I'm going to decide which week I'm doing when I get on the treadmill tomorrow night. I'll have to let you all know then. I just peeked at week 3 and the 3 minute run is freaking me out!

i started week 2 today and it tired me out a bit. By then end of the workout my face was red and i was sweating, but it felt good! Running for 90 secs at 5.0 wasn't so hard. I am excited to finish out the next two and move on to week 3! I think I can do this!

That is the worst - I am constantly dealing with cake parties and generous co-workers also!

I am jealous because I would like to go run today too but I am a strict rule follower!

I'll usually run two times on a treadmill and one time outside. The first workout of the week is on a treadmill, the second is outside, which where I run is kinda hilly, and the worst workout, then the third workout is on the treadmill and really feels easy. Usually the second workout and I take about 20-30 minutes to really stretch out too. I don't get to stretch everyday so I try to take the time after that session.

I'm going to try week 3 this week, but I'm reworking the days so I'll do tues, thurs, and sat or sun, instead of mon, wed, and sat...I see my trainer on mondays now, and I just can't go straight from work, to trainer for an hour, and do c25k all before I eat dinner. Way too much. Its probably better to workout every day instead of 3hrs 1 day, then nothing for 2 days in a row anyways.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
