I had the sleeve done April 2016, I have put on about 10 pounds. I can’t get on track because I can eat anything. So I was going to try weight Watchers. What should I do. My clothes are getting tight.

Go back to your post surgical stage 3 protocol. Protein, Water, Vitamins and your 10K steps. You need to refocus, recommit and start eating correctly again. You know your portions, you know the process, you just need to commit to it, and to yourself again! I know it's so hard, but you can do this!!

Also, you might want to schedule an appointment with your surgeon and see what they can suggest. You might feel embarrassed but you only have a 10lb gain right now. What if it's 20? You will be even MORE averse to going to see your surgeon. So try to recommit to the process, reconnect with your surgeon and their team and try to remember that once this ball gets rolling it's easy to keep it rolling, you can do this!!!!

I was sleeved 8/16 I lost 82 pounds. Trying to lose another 20. I joined weight watchers. It is great.

My surgeon suggested it. I go see him every 3 months for a follow up. He said most patients stop going to see him. I like to go it makes me be accountable.

Nobody at weight watchers has to know

has to know about your surgery.

Good luck

Can I ask you something!! Everyone was saying I need to stop losing weight I was looking sick. I Was talking to the nurse about it and she said that I will start feeling out when I stop losing. Have you heard of that. I have noticed my legs are not as flabby.

This is another reason you should be going back to your surgeon's office. The only people who decided when you've reached your goal is you and your doctor. You can thank the people for their input but this is your process, your journey and you should be working with your surgeon on deciding when you are to move to maintenance.

The thing is people have a lot of opinions, and lots of them are motivated by personal feelings and their own experiences or issues. It's OK to hear them out if you love them and want to listen, but they aren't the experts. It's you and your doc. So get back into that office and talk with your team. They can help you!!

I've told some people I don't care to talk about my weightloss, my progress or any of that. Not everyone, I'm actually very open. But when people start telling me I'm a different person or that I've lost too much or need to lose more or telling me what I should do...I cut them off, I thank them and then I tell them that this process is very personal for me, nothing has changed about me except others perception of me and who I am.

I try to be nice but firm in the "Don't project your own issues and thoughts onto me and my journey" message.

Honestly, the MOST upsetting thing I hear is that I am a different or new person. No, I'm not, I am EXACTLY the same and the more you treat me differently the more I know you didn't treat me fairly before. Because the thing is, while our bodies are changing it's other people who change more. The way they see us, the way the treat us, the way they talk about or to us. When that happens it's very upsetting and I still feel the pain and rejections as my fat self. I'm still me. If you talk about how bad I looked before or say how fat I was, well guess what? That same person is standing in front of you even if you can't recognize that.

And you know the #1 person I had to do that with several times? My mother. lol!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
