New license or ID and passport or work badges.

Recommended Posts

Whwn did you decide to get a New license or ID and passport or work badges? I'm just wondering what is normal time frame since your generally still losing some weight? Oh and wedding ring I wear a 6 1/2 but am worried it will go down. How many sizes did your ring need to go down. And just one more because I have insomnia. How many sizes did you shoes change?

My boss has put a new ID photo on the work wall ... now six months and 34kg (77 pounds) (5.5 stones) lighter.

My five year D/L renews in 2020 ... so RMS will tale a new photo then.

Passport due for upgrade in 2027 ... maybe a new photo then.

I was a Y wedding ring and now it slips off or falls off.

I don't wear it to the pool for my exercise any more.

I told my wife I'd get it adjusted before our next anniversary. (Dec 2018).

I didn't change my drivers license photograph for several years after I had surgery and lost 120 pounds. Whenever I wrote a check and they asked to see my driver's license, I would give it to them and watch to see if they ever noticed the difference. They never did.

Luckily my license expired 7 months after my surgery so it was perfect timing. I'm concerned about my passport though. I dont think it looks like me at all anymore. I had just renewed so I''m dreading paying for another one.

I've lost 85 pounds and oddly my wedding ring still fits just fine. I always had slim finger so I guess I really didn't lose any weight there. Same shoe size also, but my feet don't hurt anymore!

I hadn't thought about my drivers license or passport - I guess I'll update them whenever they need to be renewed. My face is certainly thinner but I don't think I really look like a drastically different person and I haven't been questioned yet. My wedding rings didn't fit anymore prior to surgery and now they do fit and are getting a little big. My guess is that I've gone down about 1.5-2 ring sizes? and my shoe size is exactly the same but I generally can buy normal width now instead of wide width.

Weight loss can impact ring size, but it varies for each person. Some might need to resize their rings down a couple of sizes, while others might not need any adjustments at all. As for wedding rings, it's totally natural to worry about sizing changes. I wear a 6 1/2 as well, and I can understand the concern.

I need to get a new badge because I DO NOT look like my photo...it was taken when I was at my heaviest.

My driver's license, thankfully, is only about a year old and I'm about 20 pounds heavier in it. It still looks like me.

My pre-surgery engagement ring was a 9 and my post-surgery wedding ring is a 4 1/2. My fingers shrank A LOT.

My shoe size went from a 7-7 1/2 to a 5 1/2. So I went down TWO shoe sizes. I also no longer have to buy wide widths.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
