I have experienced within the last week that I can no longer wear my wedding band. So yesterday I took it off and until I lost my 100pounds I am not going to have it resized. I do have my great great grandmothers wedding band that I can almost wear. My husband thought I was taking my ring off for good, but I just don't want to lose it. Too many people that mean too much to me are within my wedding band.

Interesting you should post this today. My husband just picked my rings up yesterday. I had to have them sized down one size...my wedding rings and my grandmother's wedding ring. I had actually thought I had lost my grandmother's ring because it slipped off my finger. Luckily I found it inside the zipper pocket in my purse. It had come off when I was putting my keys in! So that did it for me! Straight to the jewelers they went. $60 well spent!!!

:whoo:

I had this happen to me and I was lucky enough to find it. BUT I did get it resized and voiced my concern about having to have it done over and over. Well turns out that my jewler lets you resize it for free after the initial sizing as long as it is just 1 size. SO there is no need for me to wait anymore, I am wearing them on the wrong hand again. lol...

I'm in the same boat. My rings were too big when we got them, and then I had surgery and they just continue to be way too big. They slide around and never look 'set' like they're suppose to. The engagement ring would NOT stay on my finger if I didn't have the wedding ring that holds it on. I want to get them resized, but waiting as long as I can. The place we got the rings only warranties the diamonds if you use them to work on the rings, and DH bought them in TN (argh!) so it's a couple hours away. They are size 11 (eng) and 10 (wedding) and I think I'm a solid 9 right now. I still have a while to go, and may take mine off if they both start sliding off.

I'm also waiting as long as I can to resize my rings.. I plan to get one of those ring guards when it gets too big

During one of my "yo-yo" diets, I had lost about 60 lbs. My wedding ring no longer fit snug enough to stay on my finger. We went and bought a MUCH less expensive silver ring to substitute until I got to my goal weight. Well that never happened! I think this time around I will get there. By the way, our wedding rings are James Avery, if anybody knows who that is?

Here is the site. Pretty cool jewelry.

I got my wedding ring resized about a month ago, its got channel set diamonds in it and would shift around too much on my finger and never be front and centre. Its coming on Summer here, so I am going to wait to get my engagement ring done til after I see if my fingers still swell with the heat, then I'll get it done too if I need it, I predict I will.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
