H:help:ello everyone! As the title states, I'm stuck!! I was banded on March 15, 2006 her in Houston, Texas by Dr. Spiegal. Since that time I have lost just over 90lbs. It has been an up hill battle, but most def worth it! Now I find that over the past 3 months I have lost 12lbs!!!! Sad huh....I started working out with a trainer and then I was hungry most of the time...So then I had to start eating smaller meals but more often...Not good for a single guy, thats always on the go...Meal planning has never been a strong suit of mine, but now i find myself at a lost for what works now. For starters I was wondering if anyone out there have any good tips on low cal food that is good to the pallet, not hard to fix, but also great in nutritional value. I have recently been on this peanut kick and that kinda seems to be helping some....Ok I guess thats enough for now....Looking forward to really shedding some more of these pounds...Thanks Everyone!!

Hi Dreday, welcome!

It's awesome that you've lost over 90 lbs. I can't wait to get there. Planning meals have never been my thing either. I've decided that i'm going to try to pick one day a week and do some cooking and i bought some very small freezer containers to freeze small amounts of food in, and i'll just microwave, that way the portion size is already right and i won't be tempted to eat more. Just an idea.... Good luck!

Hey I was banded on March 6, 2006 and know exactly how you feel. I finally hit the 100 lb loss about 4 months ago and now I have only lost about 3-4 lbs a month. Which is much better than the road I was on before (gaining). But, I have another 100 lbs to lose. I keep freaking out that this is going to stop working and I will never see the scale drop below 200. It just seems that it is easier to eat more now, but my doctor does not think I need another adjustment.

Good luck on your future!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
